Chand, PhD, at WashU’s Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology is advancing the understanding of why some people with Alzheimer’s disease develop neuropsychiatric symptoms while others do not. Supported by a new four-year, $3.2 million NIH grant, Chand’s team is developing innovative AI and machine-learning tools to analyze large-scale imaging, behavioral, clinical, and genetic datasets—work that could pave the way for more precise diagnosis and treatment.
